More Activity update!

25th May
Since last post Oak Tree has continued moving aid direct in partnership with Midlands International Aid Trust
2 containers were dispatched at start of May and should arrive in Karachi Pakistan on 23rd May o go to Gurjrat to help equip the child and maternity unit at the local hospital which has now got a second floor.
Skpye lectures are going out most thursday mornings to Pakistan helping to train up midwives and nurses to reduce rates of failure due to past unwise techniques and practice.
Another 40 foot container will depart for Jamaica on 1st June.. hlep needed in Caldmore to load!! again medical goods to help vastly improve the desperately poor facilities in the very disadvantaged parts of Jamaica Deeside in Trewlany. All this has needed quite a bit of fund raising.. thanks to all who have helped.. and also quite a lot of medical equipment has been bought in at auction to ensure the right type of aid is sent.
We shall have a stall at the Caldmore Festival over the next 3 days to raise money direct for the Mayor's charity... St Giles Hospice Walsall,  Walsall Acorn children's hospice and our joint partners Midlands International Aid Trust. A sponsored walk in arboretum around lake on Saturday 22nd June 2pm to 4pm and a gala dinner Sunday 30th June 2pm at banqueitng suite Stafford street ( tickets £15)
A number of car washes follow.. it is hoped to raise a target of £60K for these 3 local and very worthy charities.
The intention is to return to northern Pakistan in September/October to continue our work ( again paying our own travel expenses) and so some more of these!
