Oak Tree has a partnership with Midlands International Aid Trust here in Walsall England. We are working on 1) Sponsoring 9 water wells in Niger in partnerhsip with ADRA ( Seventh day adventist church) with gift of seeds and use of an agriculturist adviser 2) Cataract provision in areas of Northern Pakistan where rural area makes access to medical help difficult and where past earthquakes have taken their toll 3) Cleft palate operations there also 4) Support for the Trewlany area in Jamaica where hurricances have caused damage and where the local people have very little 5) direct aid to Haiti with money, tents and now hopefully a 40 foot container.. again in partnership with ADRA A restoration of one of the devastated orphanages 6) direct support for other areas that have suffered earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes etc for supplementing the efforts of the major agencies reaching small communities that the major agencies cannot reach. establsihing the personal links that mean so much to those suffering severe trauma following some disaster 7) establishing youth exchanges to allow these young people to experience third world conditions and increase understanding 8) establishing dental support programmes to tackle the serious increase in child dental decay using supervised fluoride toothpaste programmes
