Oak Tree update 4th April
Our partner in Midlands International Aid Trust Mohammad Aslam is now in Northern Territories Pakistan, visiting his family before arranging 2 ‘eye’ camps to help a number more with curing their blindness with cataracts operations.
On his return he is off to South Africa to an international heart conference with the promise of a heart surgeon from Birmingham agreeing to do a number of specialist heart operations for free on the most deserving cases.
We are trying to coordinate a longer term support project for Haiti… the restoration of an out of town orphanage under the on the ground direction ADRA, the charitable arm of the Seventh Day Adventist church…we do know that the consignment of tents are in use at the main hospital.
In Niger they have had a very good harvest in our water well project area.. at present we are negotiating a way of restoring the old motor bike of the agriculturist specialist helping their efforts.. it was apparently borrowed from the local mayor!!

We have had £9768 in donations this year which will mean we can recover around £2700 in tax. We wish to expand the water well project in Niger, sponsor more cataract operations in Pakistan ( £25 an operation for the eye drops) and when we are confident that a restoration project in Haiti can be supervised long term, that is where our support could be most effective.
Thanks for your support and welcome feedback and suggestions or questions.
Regards
Ian Robertson
