Aslam has returned from South Africa where Dr Dhawali from Birmingham perfomred for free23 heart operations on children and gave valuable advice and support to the heart unit there.
Also 40 cataract operations were provided.
In Northern Pakistan 113 children were sponsored to have cleft palate repairs... a life changing experience for such children who otherwise are not accepted in general into the community and so cannot support themselves in employment.
Further cataract operations ill be done in February and we also await the results of the expanded programme in Niger to provide water wells and seeds .
