As part of our support to this school which had been devastated by the floods, we have sent 300 sweat shirts surplus to Walsall's New Deal...coming to an end as a regeneration company working in Bloxwich. We also sent 7000 pens.. these were gratefully received as shown in the pictures.. transport was nearly free due to generosity of British Airways.
it is wonderful to have direct feedback of where aid has gone and show that this has been used properly
As Aslam found as he visited there a few days before the gifts arrived... the local people were so pleased with our support, they renamed that village 'Midland'
We now plan on sponsoring another group to have their cataracts done early April.. seems like the greatest gift we can give to restore their sight so that they can earn a living, no longer have to beg and can live indepedently
