Delighted to report that the walk along the canals from Walsall to Birmingham ( about 12 miles) went well with everyone young and old completing the walk. With sponsorship the final total will be over £5000 which will fund at least 200 cataract operations in Pakistan arranged for September. The joy of a previously blind fellow human being as they remove the bandages after the simple operation to replace the lens in their eyes for a total cost of £25... is wonderful to behold... another 200 people will be able to work, support their families and see again... thanks for all who walked and for all who supported them
