Sunday 15th July 2pm leaving Walsall Arboretum Extension car park ( off Broadway North , back of Grange Theatre) Set off by our Mayor Cllr Dennis Anson... we hope to have about 60 young people plus some older young at heart folk walking around 3.7 miles maximum... free samosas and chicken pieces plus liquid refreshments.. Aim to raise enough funds for 200 cataract operations in October in Northern Pakistan. We have the offer that all donations will be matched times 3.. by other sponsors.. so £1 will raise £3 in total.
Every £25 will cover another cataratc operatioon and another fellow huamn bieng will be able to see again, look after themselves and support their families.
Good news from Aslam who is in Somalia supervising some medical camps and viewing the 8 water wells we have paid for to be built. Although not a good place to visit, we had paid for a government guard and Aslam reported that all was well with the party. He should be back on Thursday and will join us on the sunday walk!!
