Help for Pakistan

31st October
Friends
Have got the visa and flight ticket to Islamabad leaving 10th November. Have got 4 heart monitor machines to take, some blood testing units for blood glucose, and some kit for doing eye tests.. so will be approaching limit of 40kg for baggage allowance and no space for my own clothes!
Unfortunately although I went down to London to personally invite Governor Sarwar ( the new Governor for Punjab and ex labour MP from Glasgow) to visit Gurjrat while I am there to see the work we are doing there... at least he is aware of our activities and I think he will support this work in his post running the Punjab.
While I am there we have funded a free eye camp for 200 or so sufferers from cataracts and the free cleft lip and palate ops will also happen.
I shall go to about 20 schools with the support of a number of dental students from Lahore and the promised support from Colgate International to put into place some sustainable dental health measures in these schools with the objective of coming back to measure hopefully some good improvements .
I will report back as soon as I return!
Wish me luck for success !
Regards
Ian
