20,000 children in Nigeria saved from Blindness

There is a simple drug that taking one tablet will prevent the parasite causing blindness.... the drug is donated by the manufacturer and then there is a small cost to distribute... this involves a donation via the disability charity CBM who will facilitate the distribution.

Container reaches Zimbabwe

The 40 foot container loaded here has arrived in Zimbabwe ... the school desks and van ( to be used as a transport bus for the children at the school) will be distributed.... when the customs clearance has happened.

Aslam returns from Pakistan
My colleague Aslam has returned from visiting Pakistan... 3 free eye camps completed and a team from UK completed another free cleft lip and palate week at the hospital in Gurjrat.
The new hospital in Kasguma, Kashmir continues to expand providing free care to those who cannot afford treatment, keeping to the principles established as this new facility was planned.
We will provide a new dental surgery for this hospital in Kasguma... this is being assembled by Dentaid here in UK and then we will ship to Pakistan. Hopefully this will happen in the next few weeks.
